Why Does This Forum Drain iPhone Battery, Make Phone Hot?

Title says it all. Have an iPhone 8, up to date on iOS. This site is an offender and not others. Always tons of pop up video ads every page I navigate to. Maybe that’s part of it?

But I've never had a Samsung phone get hot just from using it. And I use my phone for everything.

How old is your phone ? I had an iPhone 6S, and it would get hot and battery life was maybe 12 hrs, even less if it was cooler than body temp. I'd had it for about 4 yrs, and it was just old. Might be time to upgrade, which is what I did, to a 12. The battery lasts 2-3 days with normal use, even when checking stuff on here.

Use a different browser. I use BRAVE. It does an excellent job of blocking ads.

Apple battery life is hopeless, my wife has an i-phone she has to charge it every day, she's owned a string of them and they're all the same, I have a Google Pixel and it can go for multiple days without a charge. If Apple ever built the electric Apple i-Car I doubt it would have enough range to reach the end of the block without a recharge.

I would go tires and shotgun but I’m a practical kind of guy. Regardless of what you decide as long as shotgun is part of the answer you made the right choice?
