Hey PNW! I live in Western WA and I’m trying to find a place to install a third party leveling kit. Lea Schwab will install a kit that I buy from them (FABTECH) but I wanted to get the one from FordRanngerLifts. Anyone had experience with getting a leveling kit installed and where I should go? Thanks!

You could try one of the 4x4 and off road stores or any suspension shop. Also if it is a Ford kit the dealer would probably install it.

Any suggestions or experience on a place to go? I’ve never had a level done so I didn’t know if any good shops to go to. I can always google it but I prefer peoples opinion over a google rating.

I know there's a 4WheelParts in Lynnwood that you could try calling and getting a quote from. If you want to DIY, there are also shops like Stew's Garage in Kirkland that provide the workspace and tools for you to do the work yourself.

Thanks so much! I’ll send them an email. It looks like there is one in Tacoma too that might be a little closer.

I was going to suggest Tacoma. I never had work done by them but a few friends recommended them to me when I asked around. Let us know how it goes if you get the work done there.

I installed the Rough Country 2.5" pucks myself in my apartment parking lot. It took about 2 and a half hours considering I have never done anything like that before. The only thing I would have done differently is had a floor jack and a vice. It definitely would have made the job a lot easier. Having a set of pass-through sockets really helped.

LEVEL UP!! I got the leveling kit installed at Emily’s Garage in Tacoma. I worked with a great guy named Mike. If you live in Western WA go check them out!

Thanks!
  • BFG KO2 285/70R17 tires
  • ICON Compression wheels (17x8.5, 25mm offset)
  • ICON stage 5 kit
I've got a full-sized spare where the old one was as well. Everything fits like a glove with zero rubbing at full lock.

How much did the leveling install cost? Trying to decide if I want to do mine myself or not...

I got my from Ranger Lifts. I got it installed for a few hundred bucks in a place in Tacoma. They did really good work and would highly recommend them. It was called Emily’s Garage.
