Thanks for the link! Haven't seen this setup before. Looks really good.
Thanks Jake. I played around with several tire/wheel option charts online before buying. I had read a ton of tire/wheel threads on the forum too, but the results were mixed with so many different trims, levels, lifts, other suspension mods. My goal was to keep it as close to stock as possible while adding a wider tire.

It looks great, I'm shooting for the same offset. It is +35 tho. Stock being +55, not negative. Negative 35 on these trucks would have the wheel/tire out about 3 inches past the fender.

That +12 looks good.

Thanks Jake. Those pictures has helped me understand offset more than any of the little drawings could.

The offset measures the distance between the wheel's mounting surface and the centerline of the wheel, while the backspacing measures the distance between the wheel's mounting surface and the back lip of the wheel. They are not unrelated, but essentially you will have a lower backspacing number with a more negative offset. Lower number, more clearance from suspension parts

Anyone have a pic of an approx 17x8 or 8.5 wheel with +35 offset down the side to see how much poke

Removed both front and rear crash bars and minimal trimming accomplished no rubbing at full turn.

Ya, based on his pics that doesn't look like a -35. A +35 is more likely.

My 17x8.5 with a 0 offset on 285's poke much further. A tad more than I wanted. I'd have done +15 or so.

I love that look. I'm looking at some fuel 18x9 wheels with +1 offset and I'm hoping it turns out like this. Any crash bar issues? Sorry if you've mentioned it. I've been digging through a bunch of threads

I had rubbing on the felt wheel Liners up front even with no crash bars. I removed the crash bars entirely.

I had zero rub on the factory sport wheels with a 1.25" spacer on 285-70-17. But on the new wheels at 17x8.5" 0 offset they did rub which was disappointing but it was only at full lock so it could be avoided.
