Rims with bead locks are expensive. I just watched a show on after market rims.
They offered a rim for drifting with a knurled bead with a larger surface area bead.
These are s1upposedly better to hold a tire on at low pressure. What's out there like this in a 17" rim with the correct offset for a Ranger.

Honestly it really depends on how much you are lowering preasure too for whether or not you need a beed locker. Going down to 18ish PSI? You will be fine without. Going silly down to 10 or around there then yeah you need one. I can tell you now that with the Factory Sport wheels and the Firestone Destination XT'S at 18 PSI I have not had any issues and you shouldn't either

Hi Brian,

The metric for answering your question is what is the rim rolloff pressure, which wheel manufacturers should provide but usually do not...you have to dig for it.

best,
Phil
