I put a flux capacitor there!

-- It was odd that there were two bolt holes were there under the cover for me to use.

My 19 Lariat has a larger top shroud that covers that area. Does that fuse box connect with the Tremor switch panel?

Yes, the fuse box connects to the auxiliary switches. Did you have anything under the shroud?

Can you get a better view of the part number?
WSS-M1A365-A11 brings up the type of metal used.
JB3C12B681BB brings up nothing and U9WHA also yields nothing on search.

My 2021 Lariat Tremor has the same size shroud as shown in the non-Tremor. I believe those are the same.
The fuse/relay box for the upfitter switches is mounted to that metal bracket. If you remove the couple bolts - everything comes loose. I remember thinking the same thing - what must this be for in the F-series or ROW Rangers?

hmm ive never seen that under my hood. mine is 4x4. my guess is maybe it is something aftermarket installed by dealer or maybe a previous owner. catch can or possibly a car alarm horn.
It came on my 22 Tremor from the factory. No idea what it is for

Found it....it's a bracket for the deleted Folsomerscrubber Switch...
It's listed on the web site...."237 things Ford deleted from the Ranger"
The Folsomerscrubber Switch Bracket will be the next item to be deleated, as there is no more Folsomescrubber Switch to mount to it.....
And before anyone asks what the Folsomescrubber Switch does.....it turns the Folsomescrubber on and off !!!

Might it be for some sort of emissions device used in CARB states?
Although, I can't believe that a company that would delete the fuel gauge on some updates to FordPass to save a few bucks on bandwidth would install a part that was not needed.

It is where you put your handgun so when you are out of warranty and you check your oil and discover that you have two quarts of gas in your oil.

My app still shows the fuel gauge.
