Yep, that's one thing I don't like about this generation of rechargeable devices...they design them so that it is difficult to replace the batteries like on my Garmin GPS. I did manage to change one out on an older model but it wasn't easy.I bought it the same year as my bike back in 2020. I cant recommend it enough. It has been through hell and back. And many mountain bike trail accidents. They use GPS so as long as you dont end up in tunnels it works pretty flawless. Has alot of nice features you can track and pairs really nice with a heartrate monitor.
I have the older monochrome version, however the newer ones with the color screen look pretty much identical. Only down side is you cant replace the battery. But I am looking at getting one this next spring.
I think the only complain I have is the app you sync with is always wanting to try and send you notifications.
