I bought it the same year as my bike back in 2020. I cant recommend it enough. It has been through hell and back. And many mountain bike trail accidents. They use GPS so as long as you dont end up in tunnels it works pretty flawless. Has alot of nice features you can track and pairs really nice with a heartrate monitor.
I have the older monochrome version, however the newer ones with the color screen look pretty much identical. Only down side is you cant replace the battery. But I am looking at getting one this next spring.
I think the only complain I have is the app you sync with is always wanting to try and send you notifications.

"Im just going in for some tire sealant"
*walks out with a new set of tires and handlebar grips*
"I forgot the sealant....."
Yep, that's one thing I don't like about this generation of rechargeable devices...they design them so that it is difficult to replace the batteries like on my Garmin GPS. I did manage to change one out on an older model but it wasn't easy.

Nothing exciting but I picked the Ranger up from the shop for its first non-routine maintenance item today. Threw a P0420 and the dealership replaced the catalytic converter under warranty. They couldn't say why it failed at just over 30k miles, but apparently there's a TSB (22-2245) so they replaced the cat no questions asked. I honestly don't think they did any diagnostics beyond finding the TSB, but if it pops up again I'll get it sorted and take the fresh cat on the house. Only have about 50 miles on it since but so far so good.

Hopefully you got an extension on the emissions warranty.

Usually something else malfunctions and causes the cat to go bad ??

Good luck ?

This is what I was worried about, but even if it takes another 30k to resurface I'll still be under warranty. If it's any immediate issue, I should know much sooner. I first got the CEL going over a mountain pass at like 10,000' and 0F, so I thought maybe it was a contextual issue. Cleared the code and it came back after a few hundred miles which is when I scheduled a diagnostic service. I don't really understand the TSB, all it says is if P0420, replace catalytic converter and reset PCM. Seems very basic but if Ford wants to give me a free newer cat at the onset of diagnostics I'm not complaining. Hopefully that's all that comes of it.

One of the reasons I take the truck in for the scheduled maintenance and inspections is that the service dept. can catch faulty things that are replaceble under warranty. Was on a service visit with my 1st Ranger and they discovered that the cat was defective and had just a few miles left before warranty had expired...saved a bunch on it.

Not doing any thing with the Ranger today, I hope.

Snow, about 5" so far, transitioning to sleet and freezing rain and then back to snow.

Ranger is chilling in the barn. It is comforting to know that the Ranger is capable in the snow if needed. As for us we are staying warm, drinking coffee, watching football on tv and monitoring things on the security cams. As long as we don't loose power we are good.

We have some guests with us riding out the storm. Unfortunately not enough shelter for all the vehicles, so a few have to tough it out in the weather.

How good of a guest would one have to be to replace the Ranger in the garage ? ?

No time for TV, you need to blow the snow before the freezing rain hits. ?
