Not today, yesterday - went to church, then spent the day with the wife hanging out and looking for some things we need to upgrade around the house. Lots of ideas, but the only thing I pulled the trigger on was some lumber to build a few more drawers in her closet. So used the ranger to ā€˜haul’ some small lumber items. Better than putting them in through the back of the SUV and sticking them in the driver cab.

And having the SuperCab, was able to close the tailgate to keep everything secure while in a few other stores.

Hooray for a fellow supercab with a BedRug - I sure enjoy his combo for our needs. =)

I was felling trees for whole day and at the end packed all the stuff to Ranger. When the day was over I gave a lift to a fellow for railway station and his stuff was packed also into the bed. And when reversing out of the parking spot I reversed into a pole while chatting with him.

Sensors never beeped, pole was not visible on the rear view camera due to rain and didn't even see it from the mirrors.

Result was that the pole bent, tow bolt got hit and the adapter attached to the trailer electricity connector lost its cap.

Now I need to get a new adapter. :p
Sounds like a good day of use for your Ranger. But bummer on the pole, ugh! Good luck getting it back to normal.

I just checked with folks at

I just checked with the folks at BedRug and it won't work with my drop in Ford liner. : -(
I wonder if that's because the 3M tape won't hold on it?

There's so much give to the BedRug that I can't imagine it not fitting.

I also wonder about the floor ribbing? That seems like it should be similar but a tad smaller if the bed liner fits into the ribs. The tape on the BedRug may be a tighter fit for that.

I'm wondering why you want both (I'll go back and see if you mention it).

I've always thought that if I wanted more protection, like dropping engines into he bed, that I'd use a floor mat on top of the BedRug.

I didn't think i would, just with a spray-in liner.

Looks like a nice solution for anyone worried about denting their bed. Having two must mean you like it (and having two Rangers simply means you're a very intelligent and wise person!). =)

Yea, some want them both - for protection and grip/comfort. The Bedrug will be much better on your knees for example.

That was the reason I got the Bedrug. And will be the reason I get the spray in liner. Protection and comfort. Bedrug came first because I was looking for the comfort and protection for the things I was transporting immediately.

What did I do to my Ranger today? Not much... unless you count day dreaming about when I might receive it. But I also read about other people's Rangers. And looked at pictures. And read reviews that I've already read multiple times. And watched some of the same Ranger videos... again. And looked in my garage just in case Santa came early. Sigh.

Should be here anytime. I mean it's been 4 days since I ordered it and all... :computerrage:

Luckily I'm a very tolerant man and have no issue with waiting in the lines of life. Patience is my most obvious virtue to all who know me. (Peaceful music playing in the background.)

Good thing my wife didn't see that last couple of comments. After she gave me "the look," then she'd make me apologize to you folks for flat out lying from the safety of my dream world.

For you single guys questioning "the look." Trust me, one day you will fully understand. At my house it involves one raised eyebrow. Just got a bit scared simply typing that.
