Dumb question.. what are the black plastic things lining the top of your windows. I always thought that was for smokers but I started thinking I really have no idea.I bought new wheels 17x8, 36mm offset and 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak MT tires. No rubbing. I also have a 1/2 inch lift.
Being a former smoker in my past I always thought these were invented just for that purpose. Best ash and smoke sucking device ever invented! But in reality they were concocted for wind noise and rain guards. I know, really… ?Dumb question.. what are the black plastic things lining the top of your windows. I had to take one clip out from the flare and take one clip out holding the felt so I could bend it back. Was is hard to remove this plastic? Did you have to remove the fender flares?
I cut my felt liner but I'll definitely order new ones. I have a 2020 FX4 with Fox 2.0 set at 2.75 with 295/70/R17 and at compression will definitely rub.
I don't smoke. They allow you to crack your window without rain or too much wind noise.Being a former smoker in my past I always thought these were invented just for that purpose. Did you purchase them through weather techs website? Every time I attempt to purchase from there I always hesitate cause how expensive their products are and then I agree to buy it and I always forget they charge a good amount for shipping. Is there a trick or coupon to use their or maybe some place else they can be purchased?Mine are Weather Tech. I have not had any issues with them so far.
