Yeah, and the overseas Max/Tremor has a damper built in.Yup, who would've thought in this day n age no locking gas door and no damper! ?

Nice shelter-half!So far today has been going without any snags or snafus. Almost all my projects never translate 100% from concept to truck and always having to halt and adapt.
But today is not that day. I'm not done yet however. I need to get my pods reinstalled and my rear panel up and its lights running.
Wonder if I could peel mine off the door and put it there?Went to a local dealership this morning and had them program the Securicode keypad that came with the truck when I custom ordered it last year.
I used some of my Fordpass points to pay for it.
When the lovely wife and I got home after antiquing in a nearby town, I installed it below the back window. The only reasonable place I could come up with.
Some people have mentioned putting them at the bottom right corner of the windshield, but below the back glass seemed to be a little easier to reach.
I don't have the secure code device (I had it on an Escape & 2 Explorers - & I missed it at first), but if I did get it now I think I would consider mounting it with that heavy duty Scotch velcro, inside the fuel door. Just a thought.Wonder if I could peel mine off the door and put it there?
Just use some thin fishing line and slowly slide it behind the keypad and it'll come off. If there's any sticky residue just use some Goo Gone or Iso-alcohol then wax the area. Just apply some new 3M tape and you can re-apply it again.Wonder if I could peel mine off the door and put it there?
Dental floss works well too!Just use some thin fishing line and slowly slide it behind the keypad and it'll come off. If there's any sticky residue just use some Goo Gone or Iso-alcohol then wax the area. Just apply some new 3M tape and you can re-apply it again.
