Hi Folks,

Yesterday I went out and grabbed my Metric micrometer to measure the diameter of the OEM tow hooks for another forum member. I also gave it a pat on the nose and then rolled it back about half a foot to give me more clearance to the access to the RV garage and my shop behind the RV.

best,

Nice, Jack ...do you get hassled in GA for that?? Not sure how that would go over here in PA...probably no issue in Bama tho, I've been shooting there in the past, but didn't bring my own guns.

No bumper removal, removed the plastic shroud on the front bar , cut the bar off near the insertion spot, unbolted it , slid out the remainder and slid in the new one and bolted it in
The rear ones took a little more time, removed a few plastic fasteners and one screw to pull the wheel well liner back then removed 4 bolts to get the.plastic crash block or whatever it's called out of the way, that allows access to remove the outboard bolt after cutting the beam , cut the beam, remove 2 long bolts from the top (nut is welded onto the bottom) slide out the remnant, put the new bar in ,bolt it in per specs, reassemble the wheel well liner and put the wheels back on. I tried to remove the rear one without taking that plastic block off but it can't be done.

If you go to readylift.com and find the intrusion beams you can scroll down and open or download the instructions, all in color pics. Only confusing part was the picture of the rear beam was sideways and took a second to orient myself.
How did you get to the inside bolts of the crash block?

After you remove the required plastic rivets and the one screw you can lift up the fender liner and get on all 4 bolts with a deep well socket and extension, i used my small Bosch screw gun to speed it up. Only had to fuss with one bolt to finish the removal, I used the 1/4" deep well on a nut driver. It takes more time to try and destroy that block than it takes to take it off. It makes it super easy to get to the outboard bolt on the rear bar.

My brother mounted 37”s on his method wheels a month ago, so I took the Goodyear Wranglers(285/70/17) off his Power Wagon wheels for my Ranger. They have about 30k miles on them, but for me the experiment is whether I want to stay with the 285 or downgrade to a 265 before spending money on new tires.

Mounted on my factory wheels along with the help of the 1.5” spacers. Definite rubbing at full lock on the rear crash bar. Will be removing them tomorrow afternoon. Also took his spare tire and mounted it on my spare. And that puppy fits beautiful in place under the bed.

Also you’ll see the available space with the 285 and spindle with the 1.5” spacer.

It doesn't stay there, just when I need to take it somewhere. Would be a total bummer to get a 2 stamp gun stolen. =/

I joined the after-market-side-marker-light club. I thought the OEM orange marker lights clashed with the cyber orange paint. The new ones have reflectors and they color-match well with the FX4 sticker that came with the black appearance package. (And yes, now I know how good the wheels look when they're clean  )

Wait...they put THAT FX4 sticker on the BAP now?! Figures they do this after a couple years dropping the ball. And that CO is BRIGHT!

Great pictures, the tires look really good. Have you leveled the front or is it stock?
