Gave her a wash and heard crackling around the rear Ford emblem when drying the truck. The area around the lettering looks to be cracking. I can only guess from the strong South Florida sun. Not a good sign when the company logo cannot last.

Also noticed the trim on the door is turning white on both the drivers side and the passenger side in the same area located between the front and rear windows.
That sucks - could it be the salt air in Miami? Either way, it still sucks. I read in a thread here that the protective cling on the B pillar can be removed and that it’s painted underneath. You can remove it if it gets too bad.

I live an hour from the ocean, so I’m not sure how much salt I’d really need to contend with where I stay. Plus I don’t frequent the mountain bike trail by the bay that often anymore.

Next time I give her a wash, I’m going to try and scrub it a bit more.

Hi Folks,

Took the Ranger today after sitting for over 3 weeks out to the UPS store mail box. Then we took it on a romp up into the hills behind our subdivision for about 30 minutes of semi rough road...the FX4 soaked up the bumps like I expected it would. The skies opened up and dumped quite a bit of rain on us, so our Ranger parked in the garage to drip dry after getting out of the storm.

Would you believe they are forecasting we will get Snow on Tuesday...the day my wife is scheduled at a drive in clinic in Tucson to get her Covid vaccine....Sheesh! We did not move here to deal with any of that awful white stuff....

Best,
Phil Schilke

Finished cleaning up the wiring on my raptor style led grill lights and took my lady to dinner.

Yup. I have two grills already. My buddy works at a body shop and gave me an extra lariat grill(his customer installed a raptor style grill) So if I messed mine up I have a new take off one on standby. I’m not that brave lol

I'm in FL as well and the rubber trim on the bottom of the window channel looks likes yours now. Also on the Ford badge look around at some older model ford badges and you'll find they are completely trashed from the sun. I've seen it a lot on F-150s The blue will be missing or faded

This morning I took Pepper up to the corner where a Mexican family has a car wash set up. They do a fantastic job, both inside & out.

Then I returned home & gave Pepper a good polish. Need to get ready for pollen season hints of which are already beginning.

By the way, it's 76° with low humidity today, perfect weather for such activities!

Beautiful. I’m envious. Winter is just getting started here. Won’t be worried about pollen on the truck for a few months.
