I got a couple of things done today with the Ranger.

First, I moved my seat back molle organizer over from my g-ride work vehicle to my Ranger and then organized all the crap from my center console, glove box, and storage tote into the puches. It took some adjustment on the straps to get it just right, but I am liking this a lot!

Next, I took care of the pile of wiring I had lying on the front passenger floor for the CB radio (power) and antenna. I wired up a slightly hidden 12 volt power point and put a cigarette lighter adapter plug on the power wires from the CB. I then tucked all of the wiring away so it looked nicer. I also switched out the 4' antenna for a 2" antenna for interstate driving. I wasn't liking the amount the 4' antenna was whipping towards the windshield on the interstate so I got the shorter one for around town and I can throw the longer one on when out in the woods.

After that I took apart the lower, center dash and pulled the dual USB charging ports out of the LightForce dash fascia because they stopped working. I changed up how they were wired and installed a new one before buttoning it all up.

I then took some time to get under the dash and zip-tied any loose wiring up out of the way to keep anything from hanging down into the footwells. Then it was off to our cabin at the lake to get information for storm repairs that will need done. I took some rainy weather pics of the truck while I was out there.

Thank you for your business @RapidRedRanger61! The new rubber looks fantastic!
Your welcome, but I guess I'll be buying another BFG TA KO2. I can't believe I did this, but I totally forgot about the spare and since I went a little bigger, need that one as well. Discount doesn't happen to have "buy 4 tires one weekend, get a 5th for free the next weekend" special going on.......do they?

Just hit 5k miles after 6 months of ownership and changed my oil.

Also went ahead and installed the Valvomax system and greased my ICON tubular UCAs.

I went with Amsoil XL and damn does the truck run better. Feels smoother and I’ve been averaging 2MPG more even though I’ve been putting the pedal to the floor. I highly suggest that everyone gets that first oil change out of the way at 5k and uses some quality oil — makes a massive difference.

2019 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCrew Chrome Package
Washed and applied Meguiar's Ceramic Coating today. It was really overcast so the shine doesn't show as well. Purchased my 2019 XLT with the chrome package on 4/30/20 and I already have 14,000 miles. Mods since new: added LED brights, dims, fogs, third stop light, cargo lights, front turn signals, license plate lights. Added Lariat Chrome grill, Amber Raptor style grill lights, 20" light bar (wired to come on with brights), OEM mud flaps, Weather Tech floor mats, Ford bed rug, Ford passenger and driver side swing boxes, Ford retractable tonneau cover, Wolfhuse 12V bed power point, bed lights under the tonneau cover, console tray, Lariat lighted visor with garage door opener, Terrain Management knob and enabled in Forscan, in Forscan added degree angle screen, Bambi mode, Raptor splash screen and of course the most necessary mod, the Tailgate Dampener. I also added the Traxion tailgate ladder for my bum knee to be able to get in the bed easier. I have vent shades but still have to put them on. Now what else to add????

Had the dealer install the Ford (RedArc/Lumen) trailer brake controller. They also checked the takeoff vibration according to the TSB and ordered shims.

I do not,I followed the thread about taking my badge apart to do mine myself.Would have painted and done the ecoboost badge as well myself, but it did not want to come off in one piece....lol
Disassembled painted, and reassembled it myself.Very happy with the results and not too bad a task.

Hi John,

Sno*Drift Ralley???? Worked as a check point worker or control worker on many Sno*Drifts. Usually at the finish when this was a performance rally. Weirdest time was finish control on the 3rd stage when Doug Sheppard came flying into the turn before the finish, Hella or Cibe lights ablaze. I was on the radio at the actual finish point and Doug rounded the turn and the lights went from horizontal to vertical.... Doug rolled it onto its side and slid through the finish on the vehicles side Dodge Colt as I recall. I yelled into the radio "Hack" and the timing van recorded his time as he slid across the line and approached the van on the passenger side of the rally vehicle. The vehicle stopped short of the van, and Doug and navigator started rocking the vehicle back in forth until they flipped it back on to its wheels. Lights were all bent up but they got their time slip and headed to their transit stage for repairs. I was laughing big time to having them finish on their door handle. John Buffam (sp?) in his TR7 was the class of the field, but I loved the Saab two stroke 96s, with a great women's team that called themselves Team Tits. Great memories. Also worked many POR in the UP.... Cold, Cold, Cold.

My friend and I were on occasionally assigned a Start Control and we were part of Sweep when the cars came through. Weird to find a car in the woods, having crashed out and the drivers standing on the side of the road...crumpled car way off in the woods with the windshield in one piece laying by the side of the road in a soft bed of snow and pine needles. Performance Rallys were great but alas, as I know a thing of the past as the insurance is unaffordable.

Best,

I've only been once, I work northeast events, STPR, black river stages, buffums vermont winter challenge, new York "fill in the blank" rally, NEFR, etc. I promise you stage rallies are alive and well, covid be damned. I host one out of ithaca every year, TSD style. It's called the "Ithaca Winter Rally", it usually draws buffums crew from vermont out. I'll have pics of the ranger out during rally setup this year, just like when I played the where am I game with my frontiers. Google ithaca Winter rally

Maybe you can answer this question.

What's the easiest way to tap into the VSS in-cab for a rally computer. I need a clean signal to count pulses. The frontier I vampired tapped the speed signal for the "audio loudness speed" thing (whatever it's called) behind the head unit.

Are there schematics for the dash wiring available?
