What did you do to your Ranger today?

Well it was yesterday but I think it still counts. Got my Livernois tune installed and all I can say if anyone is considering one it's well worth it! I've been contemplating getting a tune for about a year and wish I'd done it sooner. This really wakes this truck up and pulls nice and hard.

Customer service is A+++ as Anthony went out of his way to answer all my dumb questions and even installed my tunes when we were on the phone so I didn't have to wait 2-3 days for them.

Had the dealer (Grappone Ford, in Concord, NH) install the Ford trailer brake controller. Three hours on a 1.5 hour job. They said it‘s the first one they’ve installed on a Ranger. Used all 42,000 of my points as partial payment. I don’t yet own a trailer with brakes, so I won’t be testing it any time soon.

Good old Grappone Ford. I worked there at the age of 16 doing most every odd job other that mechanic work and sales. Deliver cars, repossess cars, park cars, change oil, sweep floors. That was just a few years ago. I'm 64.

Installed the pivot tool box Couple of minutes is all it takes once the holes are cleared of the spray in liner.

My FORScan thingy arrived today. Didn't take long to dive in. Bambi mode, Raptor splash screen, parking light DRL's, start/stop disabled (instead of unplugging that connector by the battery), double press to activate the panic alarm and most importantly, restored my climate controls after the SYNC 3.4 update.

@FULLSCALE , the adapter worked just fine!

I got my vinyl letters for the grill, glovebox, flag and 5G.com. The TVD site has a color chart that said the best color match for HPR was Dark Red Metallic. I was a little leery but got that color anyway for the glovebox and the 5G.com window sticker. The grill, I wanted matte black to match my customized Ford grill emblem.
First off they sent me Dark Red Metallic for the grill, when I ordered matte black. Contacted them and they replaced, I put them on and they look fine. Then I put the 5G.com on the back window. The Dark Red Metallic looks really crappy. It doesn't blend with the HPR at all. Just plain Red would have been better, or even Red Orange. I did use the glove box letters, they don't fit perfect or look great, but there is no HPR nearby to compare so it's not as bad as it could be. Not too happy with TVD, should have gone with my gut on the plain red.

Just not doing much, those of you who live in AZ know the Blast Furnace has been on HIGH for about 5 weeks now. 90 degrees at 5am, 115 in the pm. Even doing little things in the garage with the fan on it's a sweat fest.

Once again took the new fishing buggy (the Ranger) to my fishing spot and caught a few. Then stopped at the dealership and picked up the 4x4/Terrain Mode selector knob. Looks like I have some FORScan to do tonight.
