Sad day for the Ranger...had to take beloved 16 YO Rebel over the Rainbow Bridge. Great life from 2004 to today.

RIP Rebel

Very sorry to hear that. I'm dreading the day I have to let my dog go. I'm sure Rebel had a great life and many fun adventures with you.

@IdahoRanger That's sad to hear this ! Your post struck some emotion with me. They are truly like family. My little guy is 14...and I am dreading the day as I know it's fast approaching. It does sound like you had many good years with him and smiles. Take care.

We had to take our gentle giant for the same in March, but I like to think the Ranger made it a more comfortable last cruise, especially compared to the 2011 Ranger I had before! No words can make it easier, I'm sorry for your loss!

Thanks everybody. He was on the ornery side of chihuahua's and always a challenge but nonetheless a great companion. We knew he loved us even when ornery and he would not have had a life without us rescuing him. Won't lie..it hurts!

I'm sorry - it is never easy. Just remember the good times you had with him.

It is the price we pay for letting these little beasts into our lives. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Call me crazy, but the pinch welds on the lower sides bugged me, so tonight I taped them off and sprayed them satin black. Added a finished edge... before and after pictures.

Thanks for the pictures! I have ingot silver also and plan to do the same at some point this summer. Will take a little more work since I'll need to remove the running boards first but will be worth it.

I took the running boards off to paint, and everyone agrees that the Ranger/Super cab looks better/cleaner without them... As do I... I'll keep them off for awhile and see if it grows on me.

Few little things between yesterday and today. Did the interior ranger lettering in matte black, installed the stubby antenna, and did the AVS bug deflector!

For the short time I was driving afterwards, I didn’t notice a difference. With a short antenna though you’ll always hve a reception loss regardless, and should be expected.
