My son got his brand new Tacoma stuck in the mud today. It was a joy to be able to pull him out with my Ranger. I included some visual stimulation........ Enjoy.

Love the photos but to be fair, that looked pretty bad - real soupy and looked pretty deep. I doubt the Ranger would have fared better.

Dad to the rescue!!!

True, the Ranger would have undoubtedly got stuck as well. But Iā€™m older and wiser and know better then to plow through a deep soupy mud puddle. :like:

Hambone, I really have to question you parenting abilities, your son bought a brand new Tacoma? At least you are still there for him, just kidding, cool that father and son are out there having fun together.

Gee, he knows those are All Season radials on that Sport Taco doesnā€™t he? No way he was ever going to get through that without true M+S tires! Love the Ranger to the rescue!

Yep, experiences like that is what we learn from, gotta admit it took a few mud holes like that to teach me. Lol

Good parenting is to let kids make mistakes and learn from them. In this case, there were two. The Toyota and the mud.

Exactly what I was thinking. Those are straight up highway terrain tires. Definitely not an ideal setup for off-roading. Looks like it was a fun day!

My take away is to do not do anything like this alone... Had a 2 star general in the Air Force neighbor that knew everything. Arrogant Ahole. He went tooling off road in this Israeli UTV he touted would go anywhere in any condition. Got stuck and he and wife spent some 10 hours stranded before someone rescued them... Dumb A$$.

Thats some clay mud, really difficult to get out of. I got my 92 bronco axles deep stuck in something like that. Essentially you need the truck to bounce vertically to get it out.

Thanks for sharing!

Those aren't off-roading tires.

Different tires wouldn't help drive the snow plow at the front through the mud. It was never going to work.
