This morning I was leaving work and I am unable to shift out of park. I can what I think is a solenoid clicking and the “P” on the instrument panel turn off but I am unable to move the shift lever out of park. Is there a way I can manually release the shift lever? Currently stuck at work trying to figure out what I can do so I can get home.

There is a release lever under the shift counsel. The owners manual show how to access it.

It appears, since you were hearing a solenoid click (Brake Pedal - Interlock) releasing.
The shifter cable locking clip (may not be secured) and is allow the cable to flex (stretch)

Just a possibility

Thank you for the tip. I read the section in the owner manual you were talking about and know what to do if it happens again before I get a chance to check out the the shifter cable locking clip that
airline tech mentioned.

Apart from just jiggling the shifter, restarting the engine a dozen times I was able to shift out of park. I have had no issues since. I'll have to look into it further on my day off.
Like everything else in our computer world. Turn it off and back on again.

I feel your pain. I once had a GMC Sonoma that wouldn't let me turn the key to start it. Had to have a Tech come from the dealership to unstick it twice. Turns out it was a bad electronic component in the ignition switch. Gone forever are the days when you could just unbolt the slider from the column and start it with a screwdriver.
