While I haven't got my new Ranger yet, I will be ordering a 2020 Lariat.
I am planning on using a rust preventative service that uses a light oil with capillary creeping action.
One company that uses such material is Krowne Rustproofing. They do guarantee their work, but require annual re-treatments.
They spray inside the frame rails as well as drill holes and spray into the various hollow body panels.
I'll be getting Krown applied next month. We have used it on our Mazda annually since the very same day we picked the car up new and it's pretty much spotless 9 years later!
I'm interested in using Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protector. Heard of other folks using it and we use it here and there in our shop. Dries into a non-tacky thin film and do not seem attract dust and grime too much.
