It looks a some will get their wish as this new US Ranger was spotted with a rear bumper step. But the bad news it looks like that front one piece bumper might be here to stay. ?

Now, Ford Authority has spotted this U.S.-market 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat driving around fully uncovered, too. This 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat may be equipped with the FX4 Off-Road Package, since it looks quite a bit different than the Lariat model that was spotted just a couple of weeks ago, as well as the 360-degree camera, giving the presence of cameras on its side mirrors.

What we do know for sure is that this pickup is equipped with the Blind Sport Information Sytem (BLIS) – which is standard on the Lariat-trimmed Ranger for 2023. This pickup also has a set of rear bumper steps, which is the first time that we’ve seen a U.S.-market Ranger prototype equipped with that particular feature, meaning that it’s likely to be featured in the American lineup.

I'm still hoping these aren't the REAL "tophat" to the NA 2024 Ranger. I'm hoping we still get a separate bumper. Hoping we will know for sure soon.

I hope so too. But there’s been more uncovered spy shots lately and they all still have this same bumper. If job 1 really is starting on July 10 I would expect the B&P to be up sometime in March.

It looks cobbled together from a parts bin! ?

The body design doesn't flow from front to back. Looks like a unibody front clip. No real bumper means no way to install a winch, or heavy duty bumper without serious nose work.

Might as well buy a Maverick.

Yuck.... I'll pass on this one...

When there’s a PHEV, and I can afford to buy it, I’ll be replacing that bumper anyways with an ARB Summit. So how it looks initially makes no difference to me lol. And I bet the same is true for a lot of the off-road/utility users. They’ll just mod the crap out of it anyways lol.

If they don't "fix" that front bumper this is exactly what I was thinking (minus the bars over the wheel wells - don't need to go that far). I like the look of the rest of the truck and a bumper such as this fixes that horrible front end. The bonus is it adds some protection for the headlights - something I've been concerned about (but hasn't been a problem in almost 4 years now).

I'm still hoping the as yet to be revealed NA Ranger has a different front bumper setup.

Looking at the new Ranger pictures I am not sure where the fenders end and the bumper begins. The same with the rest of the nose. Ford actually sells a heavy bumper winch combo for the 5G.

It looks like some serious reengineering will be req'd to do the same with the new Ranger model.

Is that front silver supposed to be a skid plate? The black above it represent a real bumper?
Hate the fake.
Body color for the silver would almost make the front bearable.

So far, I have not seen anything to make me trade for a 6G.

The PHEV option is the only thing that will get me to trade at this point. I love my 5G!
