Tuning question. SCT x4

Question. Heard that you can tune the ranger to improve the shifting..i got the sct x4 and the canned tunes are ass. Now I'm just using the tuner as a data logger and code reader.

The canned tunes (91 and 87) Made it shift worse and it felt like it lost power.

Anybody have a tune file that:
Boosts torque and HP safely
Firms up the shifting safely
Works with SCT X4

I'm not looking to race, but I want to maximize power for hauling weight in the bed.

Torrie at Unleashed Tuning revised the tranny shifting for my Ranger and I installed the tune along with his 87 octane performance tune using my SCT X4.

I had to specifically ask for a custom tranny tune. It took three revisions to get it the way I wanted it. I have driven 30k miles since and I am still happy with Torries work.

I just asked for the Torquerules shift strategy. It works great for me.

We don’t need to have you jump through hoops to get a specific transmission tune. Feel free to message me here or on Facebook and I’m happy to help you with this. The SCT box tunes are not very good and have nothing done for transmission tuning at all. You definitely need a tuning company familiar with these trucks.
