Impressive numbers from tune.

+56 hp / +88 lb-ft and 0-60 dropped from 7.44 seconds to 5.49 seconds

I wonder if they want any of the parts back when it explodes or if you get to keep all of them.

I really enjoy the TFL guys, their reviews provide a good blend of technical and subjective information.

I wonder if that N-gauge will also be able to accommodate a tire size calibration now or in the future.

One of the questions when you're buying the tune is in regard to tire size, I THINK that's why, they'll adjust it for you.

Could be. I’ll probably just give them a call and see what they say.

LOL. Yeah I wonder how high strung they have this thing. The stock 0-60 was a bad run, but still mid 5 seconds on the tuned version? That's insanely quick and that's with on his first and only try. I think their tester is a gps device so probably not 100% accurate. It did appear to launch hard. I would be more interested in seeing how an 87 octane performance/tow tune would be. I have read mainly all good reviews over the years on 5 star. Even on the old 5.4 F-150 they turned that dog into a fairly decent performer and people usually claim better mpg under normal driving with their tunes. To me an EcoBoost exhaust is a sin because of sound, so a tune, even a mild everyday tune is where the only money for any performance should be spent.

This is basically a high 13 second truck after the tune. And look at the difference in the 60' times. It leaps off the line.

I wonder if a cheap upgrade might be using the turbo off the Mustang. I'm sure the unit in the Ranger is designed for early and low RPM boost for torque at the expense of higher RPM power.

I bet it would really fly if it could keep building power higher in the revs.

Haha. You know, I doubt you'd have any problems with running this tune. I've had a tune on my VW for 5+ years. It doubled the boost and added +95HP and +134FT-LBS of Torque. I have a more aggressive one also, but traction became a pretty big issue, so I don't switch over to that one too often.

I ran a tuned Focus ST for 100K miles, not even a hiccup during that time. I'm probably looking for this truck to be a 10+ year truck though, so I'm probably keeping it stock for the time being. Once the turbo freaks get a hold of this, there will be a bolt on turbo good for 200 more horses I'm sure.

My 13’ SHO is tuned and has been for 54k. Methanol injected at 412 wheel hp for 15k of those. Tuning doesn’t take away the engines ability to react to knock and mitigate damage.

My Focus needed a clutch something terrible at 100K but the engine still felt strong. It went to the scrap yard after I got t-boned, so I never got a chance to see the inside of it.
