5 star gets you a claimed 70hp 90tq on 93 octane tune and it's a few hundred cheaper. It also tunes throttle body response (no more pedal lag), has a tire size calibrator, and can disable auto start/stop.

What I use.
Any issues yet with the tune or hear of other guys with issues with your tune???

Says 91 or better is fine. In some parts of the country I’ve seen where you get one and not the other.
I go 20 miles to Costco in IA from IL and get 93 for $.35/gal less than where I live, have to go near there every other week so it works as I don't put a lot of miles on. Love the tune.

First off, I just want to say how much I learn reading this forum - thanks to all those who contribute! I had the Ford tune installed 2 weeks ago and so far I love it. I don't tow and I don't race around town, but the throttle response and shifting is so much better. If I encounter any issues I'll share them here. Cheers.

Sadly, I set $3/gal for 91 octane as my limit before I go to 87 and flash to that tune. I filled up at Costco today at lunch and it was $2.99.9 so I guess that's it for me until we get someone in the White House with some SENSE! I love all this propaganda flying through the airwaves proclaiming that JB has absolutely nothing to do with gas prices rising...lol ;)
I'll probably get in trouble for saying this....but I really think Joseph Goebbel's grandchild is Biden's communications director
Face it folks....the Village Idiot is our new commander-in-chief (little chief) :like:
Now I will do my time in purgatory if needed for that outburst.....
Just being honest!!

I still want to know what happens if you use 87 on a 93 tune. Does it damage or just detune?

As a pilot , I have had to deal with large pressure changes ...
In a normal engine ,, as the pressure goes down , you go higher, the output [hp] goes down.
This is NOT true of a boosted engine...
As long as the wast gate is adjusted correctly,, the engine will see sea level pressure at all times,,,
up to the max pressure of the pump [turbo]
In air planes this is called a normalizer.
The engine only knows the psi of the air that is pumped into it not the psi of the starting air.
So as long as the turbo can supply the air at enough pressure the engine
Thinks it is at sea level...

I wouldn't think it would hurt anything....probably just detune or whatever you might call it. I will make a point to call Anthony at Livernois this week and ask him. He takes care of the tuning for them (at least for our Rangers) and welcomes the calls/interaction with folks running their tunes. Super nice dude!

@Jms81661 yeah I believe so. It's a tune that you aren't supposed to tow with apparently? Also, take those numbers with a grain of salt. One is with 87 octane and the other is 93 which is required with the tune. Would be interesting to see a stock tune running 93 octane
Stock 93 octane 255 rwhp
