Truck Camping in the Blueberry

I'm down in Mammoth spring skiing and Truck camping in the Blueberry..
I was slumming it and was able to push the front seats all the way forward and sleep in the back seats comfortably. (Well as comfortable as any car I've slept in. I'm a die hard ski bum and have slept in a lot of cars over the years.) I stuffed a futon mattress that I've been using for years in the back seat..

I'll be ordering a condo (AKA an ARE shell) soon so I'll be camping in luxury.

I'm using the Ranger Hotspot to send this message. Works great.

It's amazing out here by myself, not a person in sight and surrounded 360 degrees by beautiful mountains. The sunsets out here are unreal.

I can't wait to get the Shell and racks on top. It takes a lot of juggling to sleep camp and ski out of it right now but it works.

Its right off 395 just south of Mammoth lakes CA. It's about an hour and a half south east of Yosemite, and 2 hours straight south of South Lake Tahoe.

There is a green church on the east side if 395 that you turn at.

395 is one of the most beautiful parts of California yet draws very few people.

Thanks, @skibuff. I was going to drive along 120 (Tioga Rd) on my trip and this place is right in the neighborhood. Thanks for the info and the great pics. Have any more?
