Did a 3000 mile / 3 week long road trip back in September, from Northern California, up the Oregon coast, into the Olympic Peninsula of Washington. Mainly fishing for steelhead, big wild river rainbows, and hoped for some early season salmon.

First time taking the Tremor out on a real adventure, and in general she performed well, although I had a weird air/conditioning issue on the drive back. The wheeling wasn't super challenging from a technical standpoint, but she still got some nice body panel scars. I'm very impressed with the off-road capability, but I also came from an Audi SQ5 SUV. =)

2021 Tremor. No big upgrades, just a tune, downpipe, wheel spacers, and bumper. Averaged about 18mpg on the trip, not bad considering we had about 800 pounds of gear including the roof top tent.

Hahah I didn't want to inundate it too much with off-topic pictures. I'll add some fish pics.

Hit my personal best for wild river rainbow at 22" and a fat 4 pounds, on a little china knockoff barbless spinner, got some nice younger steelhead, and not a single silver salmon or early chinook. They were just starting to come into the river mouths in OR when I was there but no one was having much luck from shore, needed to be out in a drift boat.

We didn't quite time the tides right up in Washington at the Hoh, and it was early season, but heard a few came in shortly after on a nice rain storm and 14 ft tide. It's tough to fish up there with the reservations and regulations.

In total we landed over 150 trout between the two of us across about 9 days of active fishing. C&R almost all of them, but so great to see really strong wild rainbow populations. Only caught a few hatchery that we ate, and managed to get a gorgeous 18" wild in one of the few areas where it's legal to keep them and he swallowed my lure, so into the pan he went.

I need to get better at taking fish pics, but I usually try to release in the water.

My buddy posing with some Chicken of the Woods mushrooms; they legit do taste like chicken.

That sounds like a dream vacation to me. So jealous. That is great to hear the population up there is doing well. It is really hard to time salmon runs correctly. When I went to Alaska we thought we had the run timed correctly and our last day was when they started to run. Live and learn.

Awesome!! Love the mushroom pics too. I love the color on those rainbows. The rainbows I catch here in Utah have a very blueish hue to them. Thanks for the pics!

They get that steelhead/salmon color from the crustaceans I guess, like that little crawdad in the pic. Honestly, aside from being less fatty, there was very little difference between steelhead, wild rainbow, and some locally caught salmon we purchased. The hatchery tasted a bit different, although not worse.

Even the hatchery fish up there are fairly orange because theyve started to finally feed them carotenoids. But yeah, the rainbows I catch down in Northern California are generally very light pink.

Love the build so far! Currently im waiting for parts to become available but I plan to take mine on its first off road voyage next year! Definitely getting inspiration from this!

@Raacerx what kind of spacer are you running? Im looking to get into a LT285/70R17 and a new Fifteen 52 wheel but was told I need a slight lift and spacer to minimize the rubbing

I'm running the FactionFab 1.5", got them off a forum member. I removed my front crashbars because of the bumper and took the plastic off the rears, and no rubbing, but I am on the stock Tremor tires/rims.

I would have preferred 1.25" up front because I'm getting some decent chipping on the rear fenders from rocks, but I never planned to keep her pretty!

Ah okay nice! Im trying to keep it clean and kinda stockish look since I dont plan to do any serious rock crawling in this. But love the look of your build!
