What mileage are people getting pulling travel trailers with their Rangers? Please provide mpg and description of trailer including model, length and working weight.

I can't say for a travel trailer but with my 280zx on a auto transport by U-haul it was a combined weight of 5,500 lbs did fair in my opinion. Yes I have a tune along side with a lift and bigger tires. My MPG was around 16-18 at best. Hope that helps.

Teardrop Camper:
Weight: 1600-2000lbs depending on the trip
Length: 15ft, including tongue
Height: only roof rack sticks up above Ranger roof
Mileage over many thousands of miles on various trips:
19-22mpg @60mph
15-18mpg @75mph

Enclosed Uhaul trailer:
Weight: 5000lbs loaded
Length: 18ft, including tongue
Height: barely stuck up above Ranger roof
Mileage over 10hrs of hauling:
16-18mpg @60mph

No mountain passes, but plenty of steep hills (+/-1000ft in change). Generally flat wooded areas with not much crosswind. Though a nice strong headwind has taken a good toll at times.

Just did a two week trip through northern California, Oregon, and Washington towing a ~4500 lb travel trailer (3800 lbs unloaded) with several mountain passes around 5-6000ft and averaged around 11 mpg while towing. We did not carry bikes on the roof this trip. The Ranger handled so well we are thinking about upgrading the trailer to something bigger in the 6000lb (5k uvw) range. Very pleased with this truck as a tow vehicle.

3000 mile trip including over the Rockies. Leveling kit on 33's. Towing a 4000-4500# Jayco 20' tent trailer. Trailer sits below the roof line, but wider then the truck.

Average 14 mpg over the trip doing 75 mph most of the trip. Normally get 17.5 empty.

I knew there were some bigger, and therefore heavier, pop-ups out there. But I didn't realize they got that big. Woof, that's a monster of a pop-up. Heck, the pop-up we had growing up was less than 1000lbs and we could tow it with anything. haha

Any shots of it all set up? Or even just a model so I can look it up online. Not that I'm considering, but just curious on size and layout and all that.

Drove my new Rockwood 2104S up the California and Oregon coast and then back down the I5 corridor. Weigh scale listed the trailer at 5300Lbs loaded. Had 5 people in the car and the bed full of stuff.

Gas mileage: ~9MPG

With just my wife and I and the trailer, I got about 11-12. Unfortunately it means I needed to stop every 2.5 hours or so to get gas but it tows it like a pro.

This highlights the whole "frontal area" discussion.

Never planned on getting one this big... didn't even know they made them this big myself. It's a Jayco Select 14HW

King bed up front, Queen in the back. Also have the dinette and Jack knife sofa for beds for a total of sleeping up to 8.

Also has Double Sink, Oven/Stove, Fridge, Micro, Full bathroom, Heater, Water Heater and A/C. Plus a huge storage box up front, dual Propane tanks, electric brakes and even a slide for the Dinette.
