I almost immediately ditched those Dynapro ATM tires that came with the truck. They sucked (Atleast in my southern Utah mountain trails). I threw on some 32” Toyo AT3 in the standard load rating (minimal weight increase of only a few lbs per tire). My god are they incredible. I’m going on almost 2 years with them and have never had issues with traction or Punctures. Seriously they’re fantastic! From horrific sloppy clay like mud a foot deep, flooded dirt roads, 2ft deep snow on mountain dirt roads, icy I15 condition to Salt Lake City in a blizzard, 2 track rancher roads littered with rocks and limbs, to just mobbing washboarded county roads at 50 mph. I have yet to have a single failure. Hell I forgot to rotate them for like 15000 miles and they’re still wearing evenly! My only beef is want more of the MT look. I just don’t want MT quick wear out and heavy weight. I am really thinking of getting the Toyo AT2 setup next time around and bumping up to a 33” tire. Do you think I would get similar performance? I don’t care if they make a little more noise so long as they can do the job.

Tire wear and noise will be greater but can’t go wrong with Toyo.
Man the heat down here just eat up tires in general. I think I’ve worn down about half way in just 2 years. Especially with my frequency into the hills. It’s the nature of the beast. I know the AT2 is sort of a bridge between the AT3 and a MT. I just don’t want to lose my fantastic diversity of performance for a “cooler looking tire”.

I love my AT3s..... I wouldn't change them - they are a FANTASTIC tire, IMO.

Looks aren't everything.... I tell my wife all the time when I go hiking, it doesn't matter what I look like, it is all about FUNCTION. Same goes for tires.....

My AT3’s have been great so far traction and wear wise. I’m having a balancing issue but I am requesting a road force balance @Discount Tire next time This week or next. 60+ I get a shake since having them installed.

No experience with AT2s. Had C Load AT3s in my 3rd Gen 4Runner and loved them. They replaced E Load KO2s. Great tires IMO. I’m torn between those, Wildpeaks or just another set of Grabbers for my Ranger when it’s time

I didn’t realize AT2 was a current offering. I guess I assumed it was just old stock, but they do have a nice aggressive look. Very minimal size offerings though. It’s tough to find tires that fit 7.5” wide steelies. Even at 12.5 wide it’s suggested for 8”. I never go lower than 17 psi. Also, E rated.

I have the AT3 on my Bronco and they’ve been great for 25k. A little slippage off the line on wet pavement. That’s my only complaint.

Haven't tried the Toyo's but they were on my short list. I'm certain they are solid.

I opted for a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires and from what you describe with your Toyo's, I could swap the same text and replace with Mickey Thompson as they are everything you describe also. I know the Tacoma guys love MT tires, but they don't seem as popular with the Ford crowd. I'd like to test a set of the Toyo's sometime.
