Honestly, I don’t feel this way at all about my ‘21 XLT. I guess it’s one of those things some are more sensitive to than others. I think mine feel solid.

Stephen, mine sound the same as yours, and it's a lowly STX. Jay, stop by your dealer. Maybe they can give you some help.I’d try to have the dealer look at it. My doors sound very solid when I close them (2020 lariat)
Yeah we apparently are the only ones lol I've never felt like it sounded cheap.Stephen, mine sound the same as yours, and it's a lowly STX. Jay, stop by your dealer. Maybe they can give you some help.
Reading elsewhere and here, I am thinking that it must have been a Friday afternoon at end of shift when my Ranger was built and they just missed it, where others like yours were properly sound proofed/tuned.Yeah we apparently are the only ones lol I've never felt like it sounded cheap.
Yikes :/ get on the horn with them.Reading elsewhere and here, I am thinking that it must have been a Friday afternoon at end of shift when my Ranger was built and they just missed it, where others like yours were properly sound proofed/tuned.
My $25K Subaru sounds solid and well built compared to my new $42K Ranger. I'm convinced Ford assembly missed it.
For sure. Going to go back to the dealer and compare other models and see what they say. My guess is they will tell me to kick rocks.Yikes :/ get on the horn with them.
Ya mine does the same.. luckily it an easy fix..For sure. Going to go back to the dealer and compare other models and see what they say. My guess is they will tell me to kick rocks.
I have a 2019 and mine sounds solid.Yeah we apparently are the only ones lol I've never felt like it sounded cheap.
It sounds like 2019 were solid, then half of the 2020's were crap, and 2021 solid again. I'm guessing Covid related and rushed assembly when they were allowed.I have a 2019 and mine sounds solid.
Perhaps. Hopefully you & others will get yours resolved. It sounds like 2019 were solid, then half of the 2020's were crap, and 2021 solid again. I'm guessing Covid related and rushed assembly when they were allowed.
Thanks! I suspect it will require me tearing the door apart and fixing, but one way or another, I'll get it sorted outPerhaps. Hopefully you & others will get yours resolved.![]()
