MY god where do you live Antarctica? That much wood would last me two winters! + 1 for living in the subtropics.
We get those 20 below windchills in February and our great room is all older windows so February can take a couple cords if cold. Better then the 1000 gallons of fuel oil the house used before we switched to wood.

That’s what they’re talking about shutting down. Good luck with that! I know up in The NE a good amount of electricity is made from gas fired plants. That was the big investment in energy production up her to get off coal and oil. Now they don’t want more pipe lines and the demand skyrocketed because of the dependence of the electric production! Thing is, in the US we’re sitting on a 200 year supply of natural gas alone.

Follow the money. That’s what this is all about.

Ugh, you're so right on this. You may be on Eversource in Mass, we are and our KW rate doubled to 22 cents two months back and man, does that hurt! =(

We have one of those wood-fired plants here, it burns loads of scarp and saw dust. My work's office location used to be right next to it and it always smelled like a big fireplace!

Anyway you slice it, we always get the shaft (with no grease) and foot the bill .. bah, don't get me started ... back to non-stressful topics like dampers! =D

dave i knew you were good people. seeing the attachment to blue bell just reinforced it. they opened a smaller distribution spot not far from me. they wouldnt hire me. they were worried i would mess up that "sell all the rest" profit margin.

I miss Blue Bell and TexMex. Those 14 years in Texas were awesome ones!

Nuts!
This summer, didn't 800 private planes land in Egypt for
some worldly event? If anything, they should start outlawing these luxury private planes/boats.
A waste of resource I tell ya!
Like @Trigganometry said.
Follow the $$$.
Hey! Don't kill the dream!

One day, when my financial planning comes true (winning the big lottery or that Nigerian Prince), I'm getting a private plane for me and Cheech, and a separate plane for Soupie!

We won't be the typically douchey rich people, we'll start Dump Runners Without Borders and serve the greater global good. =p

If that doesn't work out, they are looking for drivers at the dump about 20 miles from me. They bring all the NYC garbage up and they make about 100 tractor trailer loads a day. They have built a garbage mountain range. It's about a 700 mile trip you get to drive each day in a truck that has a very distinctive dump odor. ?

Don't forget DGS - diminished glute syndrom.

Our power went out. It's 20 below. Can I build a fire?
Sure. As long as you don't use wood or gas.

Where are some of you finding your info? The only thing I can find as their reasoning, is due to indoor pollution causing respiratory issues, like asthma in children. I see nothing about outdoor issues, or any climate change related reasoning. I personally think they should just put a warning on them and let the consumer make their own decisions. There are bigger fish to fry than this.

So once again, the whole country has to pay the price because a few people might have asthma or other respiratory issues.

They use 50 ft trailers with 10ft high sides that aren't pretty. Soupies on steroids. They make natural gas from the garbage so you would be providing a service to those with gas stoves.

You can all chillax now.
"The American Gas Association has pushed back against research demonstrating gas stoves' dangers. It previously said that emissions from cooking with gas are similar to emissions created when cooking with electric stoves and that it planned to submit evidence to that effect.

On Tuesday, it slammed the latest study to link gas stoves to asthma, calling it findings "baseless allegations" and pointing to the role of gas in reducing carbon emissions from the power sector by pushing out more-polluting coal."

They don't care. US CO2 emissions have gone down because the country shifted electricity production from coal to natural gas, which is much cleaner burning.

The whole point of "climate change" or "global warming" is to force you to live the way they want everyone to live. The elites will exempt themselves of course. Instead of outlawing stuff you just make it so expensive only the wealthy can get it, denying the masses for the good of the planet.

It also allows "a certain party" to eliminate things they hate like "big oil" an "meat". Vegetarians are all for this. They hate suburbs too an forcing everyone into cities will make use of public transportation standard an this gets everyone is 600 sq ft apartments like NYC. You use much less electricity in a 600 sf home than a 1500.
careful telling the truth like that... a representative of the party may show up at your door.

Well I just found a new fuel source. Bought 10 pounds of frozen yellow fin tuna steaks from Costco.com and just received it. The packing foam all says it can be burned. We need other companies to use this foam.

the whole box was lined with it and the dry ice pack didn't melt any in 2 days so it's great insulation. Subquark would probably get enough to heat his home if Amazon started using it with all he orders.
