Left is not near as bad as the right eye got post vitrectomy. I'm doing the left eye in reverse, cataract surgery first. I have not been wearing corrective lenses since the right eye was done and can see fairly well. I STILL SEE COLORS PRETTY GOOD! 😝 😝
Are you going to get the one eye long sight one short sight solution? Sounds crazy but it works once your brain adapts. Best to test it first before doing anything permanent though because some people never adapt and suffer from headaches, blurred middle vision, and difficulty with fine tasks. My dad had it done and loved it, he hardly ever needed to wear glasses afterward (very close work only) and said the colours were so vivid and sharp afterward it almost hurt at first, a bit like looking at an HDR image.

After careful discussion with my hot eye surgeon, I decided to go the same approach as my right eye, which was a toric multi vision. Yes it cost extra, but she recommended keeping them the same and if anything, I might need readers for close up stuff. I didn't want to sacrifice the awesome distance vision for occasional close up stuff. And I mean anything closer than about 10" is where it starts to blur.

WOW! We're going way back now!

We're watching "Have Gun - Will Travel". It ran for 5 years starting in 1957... Now how many of you spring chickens have heard of that one??
Not a spring chicken (born 1952) and watched Have Gun Will Travel but my favorite was Wanted Dead or Alive. Steve was always too cool for school!

I liked aviation shows as a little kid. Sky King, Whirlybirds, Steve Canyon. I still remember on Sky Kingduring the opening credits, they announced, "Sky King! Brought to you by Nabisco!" And the trademark triangle Nabisco logo would fly out and do a loop and settle on the upper left of the screen just like on the package.
When I'd stay overnight at my grandparents, we always watched Gunsmoke, which at the time I liked but thought it odd that my gramma chose to watch it. Well into my adulthood I figured out that she probably had a crush on tall, square jawed Marshall Dillon.

Gunsmoke 1955. The Lone Ranger, the starting of TV's lawman I think 1949. Watched them on a 9" CRT TV. Warm up time 10 minutes with the dot in the middle and a green glow.

Yeah, Gunsmoke - James Arness, Early Clint in "Rawhide", and Steve ("The Blob" star!) in Wanted Dead or Alive.

We watch a lot of Rawhide and the other older westerns.
