How well does it work? I've read reviews where some of then have horrible reception. Thanks!
It works fine for me. Honestly I mostly got it to plug the hole after I removed the factory antenna. The factory antenna IMO is way too large. I don't really listen to AM/FM very often and I live fairly close to a large city. But when I tested it it works fine in my area. I briefly tested it when I was a little farther out of town awhile ago and it seemed okay.

If you live in a more rural area I imagine it might not work as well. But it is available on Amazon so if you get one and it doesn't work, you can always send it back.

The tray in the console and additional USB ports have been the best small items so far.
I have also added black stainless tailgate letters and I will be buying window visors and a hood protector at some point and maybe some graphics.

Floyd, where did you get that tray, I had one like that in my vw but can not find one for the Ranger. Link would be great if you have one.

Thanks in advance,
Tiny

This is not exactly the one Floyd showed, but it's the one I installed in mine. Love it: https://amzn.to/2WUibeS

I'm all about protecting the new truck, so one of the first things I did was install a hood deflector:

I also added some clear paint protection film to the door sills:

Both of these are inexpensive and very easy to do. Hope you love your new truck!

I installed the 2 inch and haven’t noticed any difference in reception. Though it should be noted that my experience is currently limited to the island of Oahu. Can provide a better update in a couple of weeks after my road trip from west coast to the upper Midwest. My main goal for the install was to gain clearance for parking structures.

I've done some big things, some of them recently, like a bumper with winch and suspension.

As for smaller things:
  • Tailgate dampener
  • Ignition trim ring
  • Rear seat dog cover/hammock
  • Cell phone holder
  • Bed divider (homemade from scrap wood)
  • Home Depot plastic tote to organize recovery gear, tie-down straps, and bungies
Where are you carrying the tote?

1. The $10 Ignition Ring ...that part of the truck feels undone

2. Tailgate damper, my kid opened the tailgate and almost hurt his arm
Have pics of the Ignition Ring?

If you got a FX2, like myself, you probably want to add a real skid plate instead of the piece of plastic. You'll need 2 tow hooks off of a 4x4 (brackets attarched) and the 2 skid plates. Engine and transmission.
