Nope, plenty of old Rangers made in the 70's. I still see a few of these running around in my area. They are the original OG of Rangers.
I knew there were old full-sized Ford Rangers. What I didn't know was that some were sold under the Mercury label.

About 20 years ago, I almost bought an early 1970 F100 Ranger XLT Explorer Special, Short Bed, 4x4, I think it was a Light Green/White color. It was almost mint for about $7000! I could never get ahold of the owner...

One of the first ones with a 429 dropped in and still had drum breaks all around. That got a little hairy when you opened this thing up. Not easily stopped!

That’s quite a truck. One of the members here has that bedside Ranger trim badging on his 5g - it’s pretty cool.
