the word gullible comes to mind.

refinement is meant for Bentleys and Rolls Royces....everyone else would be a poser if they think a pickup truck needs the engine dress up.
we dont roll up to car shows looking for the first place attendance trophy. we thrash through the forest and haul wood to build shelters for our kin.

Since there are many gullible people (hint: look at the TG damper threads) I will be designing a rear differential dress-up fairing which will not only add aerodynamic properties and gain you an extra 10mph top end, the sound deadening and cooling effect on the rear diff will also add at minimum 20ftlbs of torque.
Available in color matched paint for those really set on matching the suit with the shirt so to speak.
For someone who’s so opinionated, you sure get hostile to other people who may also hold an opinion on something. You should take your own advice and just scroll past the posts that you disagree with. This is a forum talking about Ford Rangers where everyone is entitled to their opinion. This forum is here for most of us to escape from the stresses and craziness of the world today and talk about our trucks. Everyone’s vision of the perfect truck is there own and often different from yours or mine. Your aggressive behaviour towards so many people on here is off putting and usually not helpful.
Back to the topic at hand, and fwiw, I think the engine bay on my XLT looks unfinished without the engine cover. I’m not sure it bothers me enough to buy the available cover but maybe one day I will. If the 5.0 in my Mustang didn’t have an engine cover I’d feel it was unfinished looking. It’s also not a show car but I take pride in my vehicles and I wouldn’t like the looks of it without it. Unfortunately most modern engines are unattractive compared to the old
V8’s that use to be so common.

How else can one amass so many posts in a little over a year to become an internet expert?

you musta breezed right past post #35 then eh?
Thanks for being my goFer, Ranger Pride. We should all have one!

Yes, I did see that post but had no idea "that" was an engine cover. Seriously that is what Ford is providing and charging for? No wonder so many pass on that. Sure doesn't cover much.

I would love my Ranger even if it didn’t have an engine cover, but it does & I like it. I’ve never worried about the loudness of my truck’s engine (unless it was having a problem that needed seeing about ).

Jesus Christ. I wish you could see the trucks we drove back in the 70's, 80's & 90's. This thing is a F'ing Rolls Royce compared to the hollow metal bucket that a 1975 Ford F100 was. Brand new they had so many gaps in the body that you had to drive slower than 50 when it was cold outside or you would suck all of the heat out. And we were just happy the damn thing had a quasi functional working heater in it.

The Step Side came in a color called "Duct Tape Grey" so you could repair your fenders with....... DUCT TAPE and no one would notice.

It only had a vinyl bench seat and seat belts were optional. Dad would lube it up with armorall and we'd go sliding around when he took corners like a Newtons Cradle made out of three kids.

We only had two choices for wheel pattern - white and black.

#FirstWorldProblems

I'm sure a nice latte with unicorn sprinkles will make it all better.
Greg, the first truck I owned was a '79 F-250 with like a million miles. Now that is the kind of truck I grew up with. It was a beast, and looked like one. I laugh when I see reviews saying the Ranger is bouncy. Hell, it rides like a Rolls Royce compared to that '79. That old thing would make your hemorrhoids fall down to you ankles. ?

What do you mean? Alabama don’t have hookers.
Tracey, I think he's calling your hookers cheap. Now that's an affront to the working girls of Alabama. :)

Who are you that criticizes other posts with this statement. in red above. All posts are opinion. When someone is deemed the post police by the owner of this site then they can critic the content. These internet sites are for the free exchange of opinions. You are doing exactly what you are complaining about. Take your own advice and scroll past any post that you dont like. In my humble opinion of course. ?

I guess you missed the point about everyone entitled to their opinion without having others be hostile to them over it. My issue is his aggressive behaviour he so often has to others that he disagrees with.
