Saw this posted somewhere...removing the vinyl overlay on a supercab's centerpost
door frame.
Any pic's ? Have my heat gun ready and thinkin about it.

It peels right off. No need for a heat gun on my 2019. It stretches so once you start there's no going back. There's an old thread on this back from 2019 or so.

Please post pics. I sort of like the decal, or at least I don't care about it. I have a white truck, and I've seen pics of some without it. Not sure I want to remove it. Yet.

Looks really good. Makes me consider it as well, but knowing me I would just toss some rainbow vinyl wrap over it. Might as well just do that with the current vinyl on it :crackup:

No, it's just very tough vinyl. You start peeling from the corner and start peeling. It's on there but comes off , without tearing if your careful. Heat gun isn't really needed, but it's easier if you do it in the sun when the vinyl warms up. If your in a cold area/garage then a heat gun would help. Just a trace of residue left on the edge...comes right off with a bit of mineral spirits.
The vinyl isn't like the cheapie stuff...very thick and durable...should pull off in one piece.
***Once you start, there's no going back. Vinyl will stretch and be un-usable again.
