Sub woofer Location

I've seen a lot of people putting a kicker or pioneer sub behind the rear seats. But has anyone built a box into the storage compartment below the seat yet? I"m about to do so myself and am looking for the max depth of it. So far I've measured and its about about 6 1/2" deep (without pulling up the carpet or taking out the storage box). I'll be putting in a Memphis PRXS1244 - 12" 4Ω DVC sub, with a home made box, and sound denting the Ranger with Second Skin Damplifier Pro Deadening Mats.

I don't think you will get a 12 in there with enough space for the sub to be happy. Its about .6 of a cube in total space. a 10 is kinda pushing it space wise.

There's the aussie fiberglass box available on eBay. A 12 would not fit and is too small of air space anyway. A slim 10 or almost all 8s fit.

The Memphis sub I chose is a shallow mount and is only 3" in depth. There was also a 12" JBL that was a 3" shallow mount. But I know the Memphis subs hit harder so thats why I went with it. Not sure when I'll start building a custom box for it but should be some time in the next month or 2.

The enclosure in the first link - Ford Ranger PX PX2 Mazda BT50 Under Seat Sub Box - (the one pictured in this thread) will absolutely fit the '19 Ranger.

However, the enclosure in the second link - Ford Ranger & Mazda BT50 2012 -2018 subwoofer fibreglass Dual 10inch sub box - will not work as the cabin vents are in a different location on the 2019 model but you may be able to model something after this configuration yourself.

Second link would also add a lot of noise to the cabin with a full removal of the rear panel card... gross.

I'm not too sure its entirely different. If you look at the pic and take all your panels off and carpet in the rear all the hooks and even the vent thing to the right are all in the exact same place. From talking with some people in Australia about other mods I have been interested in, the truck stayed the same through 2020, inside at least so I think it probably would fit fine, that being said I'm not impressed enough to roll the dice to find out for sure. I do like the idea though.

You have been misled. The Cabin design has changed in that they added vents to the rear of the cabin. The vents protrude into the cabin so that you would not get a flush fit to the rear of the cabin. The idea is there for a custom box, but the box listed on ebay is not designed for a '19 and up.

I built my own box for under the seat by using the original plastic bin insert, some sound deadening material, and a small sheet of particle board. I used an Alpine Alpine S-W8D4 and its perfect for the volume of the enclosure.
