Hi Jeff,

Weird....my car wash just leaves the engine running.... Why on earth would they put a car wash warning under Jacking and Lifting????

Interesting, where/what is the Manual (M) button? Never heard of "Stay in Neutral Mode" before. I agree Phil, why put a car wash warning in the jacking/lifting section?

Hi Folks,

I just reviewed my owner's manual for 2019. I cannot find any reference to Stay in Neutral. Could this be for a ROW Ranger?

More bad manual editing! Doesn't apply to our trucks, why is in the Ranger jacking and lifting manual?? Cut and paste publishing??

I HATE rotary dial shifters.....had one in my 2013 Ram and I flipped it to D instead of P and bumped my garage door.....$200 for a new garage door :mad: My mom and step-dad just got a new Escape Titanium with the dial shifter---I cautioned them about the shifter.....

In my experience, once you get used to something it's fine and comes naturally. My wife has a 2020 Escape with the rotary shifter. It took a little getting used to, but after a little bit it's become second nature to her. To the point where when she drives the truck, she has to think twice about how to shift gears. So for her, the rotary shifter is normal and the console shifter in the truck is different. It's all about perspective is my point. Someone can screw up using any piece of technology, especially when it's new and foreign to them.

I personally wouldn't mind the rotary shifter as I personally feel the Ranger's shift lever is massive for no apparent reason.

It's the perfect height to rest my non-bird flipping hand so it can rest between said bird flippings. Don't want the right hand getting too tired from aggressively steering while bird flipping because I have the little truck big man syndrome:crazy:
