Spray-in liners are nice at first, but fade from UV. This looks as bad as any scratches you may get in your factory paint. A bed mat is just fine for basic impact and slide resistance. Paint rubbing may occur if you don't keep it clean but who cares. It's a truck bed.

Don't know about other brands, but Bullet Liner uses an additive that supposedly prevents fading.
Even if fading happens, give it a cleaning and then a can of spray bed coating will make it look like new.
But, I, and many have a tonneau so It's really no big deal. Also, better a faded spray in liner than scratches and gouges...

As far as "who cares, it's a truck bed".......same could be said about the exterior...why keep it clean and waxed and detailed ? It's just a truck !!!

Yes! And they do a good job with the colors, pretty vibrant.
Did you get color matched?

I might be interested in color match vs off the shelf black... Especially for the gorgeous Azure Gray Metallic I have. It is the best color ever you know.

Personally I'd do both. I have a drop in liner now with the bed mat but even if I had a spray liner I'd still have the mat. It adds a nice cushion when you're getting in/out and it also keeps stuff from flying all over the bed. Plus if something spills back there it'll be on the mat not all in between the bed grooves.
I went with LineX on my 2019 and love it, I also have a mat down that is easy clean. My F-150 has the rubber mat and no Line-X and I sometimes want to do it to that truck ... love the spray liners.

I have a drop in liner and do not like it. I'm on the fence about a line-x spray in or just a rubberized bed mat to go with my hard tonneau.

Thoughts / opinions on the two?
Option three is Bed Rug

as I don’t haul loose earth products it works well for me. In the I need to haul earth products I’d lay out a large trap.

not a product for everyone but perfect for me

They say: " Starting with a sample of the color code, LINE-X technicians can pigment any of our high-performance coatings to your liking, whether it’s a silver truck bed or a candy-apple red rocker panel. Color options allow you to create a custom look for your truck with the added confidence of LINE-X protection. "

I think they can do any color and here are some examples:

Those would be great as long as you have a tonneau cover. Out here they'd be lucky to last a month with our summer heat and uv rays.

You mentioned a hard tonneau. If you just want knee comfort and slip resistance, it's easy to cut a piece of carpet to size and the tonneau should keep it dry enough. Depending on what you carry you might need something sturdier than carpet. I have LineX spray-in, an ARE cap, and carpet.
