Sound Settings / Occupancy Mode

I found this setting by accident today. Not sure which I like better yet, but they definitely sound distinctly different. Driver only mode almost sounds like you have a set of (good) headphones on.

Anyone played with this yet? What's your preference, Driver or All Seats?

I set it to All Seats so the key fob opens all doors. That's great if you have kids.

Edit: Totally misread the question (LOL). My answer still stands, all occupants is best if you have kids in the back.

SETTINGS
Under this menu, you can access and adjust the settings for many of the system features.
To access additional settings, swipe the screen left or right.
Sound: Pressing this button allows you to adjust the following: Sound Settings

Reset All Returns Treble, Midrange, and Bass sound settings to factory levels.

Treble Adjusts the high frequency level.

Midrange Adjusts the middle frequency level.

Bass Adjusts the low frequency level.

Balance / Fade Adjusts the sound ratio from side to side or front to back.

Speed Compensated Vol. Adjusts the amount the audio system volume increases with speed, or turns the feature off.

Occupancy Mode Optimizes the sound based on the location of the listeners.
Sound Settings: Stereo Surround

Your vehicle might not have all of these features.

For @Jimiv123. Make sure you’re running Sync version 3.3. This is in Settings > Sound Settings

Thanks @rangerdanger for the screens. I have Sync 3.3. The owner website says I'm up to date. Does anyone else in the thread have the B&O system? I wonder if that's the difference.

Must be different, I don't have B&O and Surround is not an option in mine

So i am guessing the B&O systems have Sound Mode to select between Stereo and Surround, and the 6 speaker systems have Occupancy mode. Interesting!

I have the B&O and the only options are Stereo or Surround.
