ARB has their Safari snorkel and Mishimoto is currently in the process of developing one. The Mishimoto design looks better in my opinion.

I second the Mishimoto snorkel, it involves a lot less cutting and looks great. We still haven't gotten a firm release date from them so if you have to do it now then the Safari is your only choice.

As others have mentioned the ARB is available and Mishimoto is currently in the works. Performance wise I'm sure both will do well and they both have thier Pro's and Con's. The ABR will most likely flow better than the Mishimoto but with Mishimoto you will have the option of reversing it. Chances are tho you won't be reversing it anyway since your next vehicle most likely will be different(even if its a Ranger with a different body).

Id love to see a Ranger drive in water at a depth near or above the air intake. Is there a vid? What does water that deep do to this truck??? F

The alternator is the Achilles Heel on this truck as it sits VERY low on the side of the engine.

Several on here have killed their alternator in deep water/mud.

Since the Bronco shares the same engine, we're hoping that a sealed unit may become available for retrofit to our trucks.
