Been looking into this addition.

I have a 2020 sport 5 foot bed - Fox2.0 leveling kit and UCAs.

With the added weight of a stainless cap - anyone see any significant MPG reduction

Nothing wrong with doing a little research, right guys?

To the OP, on my previous Ranger I would take the top off and on. Do not recall any mileage change, but the ride was so much better with a bit of weight on the bed. It took the bounce out an some of the truck feel.

So if you need to safely store or sleep in the bed, seems like a good investment.

Didn’t seem to affect my fuel mileage.

Very little if any. With the larger tires and the cap (both installed around the same time), my mpg went from 23 to 22.

thank you for the reply. Do you have a leveling kit? I was curious to see if you saw a drastic change due to the added weight in the back.

Yes, I have the FP fox 2.0. I think the 1 mpg drop was more due to the tires than the smart cap.
