That's what happens when an EV identifies as a off road machine. Overweight and underbuilt that makes them good mall crawlers. Wonder when one will puncture a battery and burn down a national forest after saying hold my Bud and watch this.

That's an amazing recovery truck. Isn't any technology on there that's going to fail and need a computer to fix.

If you read the story the rivian made it out through the obstacles but only after 4 repairs on the junk tie rods they use. Sounds like it’s pretty capable outside of that flaw. There’s a ton of them here in San Diego. They don’t look like they should be out in Moab but they all have SUV tires from what I have seen, likely to maximize mileage. I’d be pretty nervous to f up an $80,000 pickup but I also choose not to afford an $80,000 pickup.
