Sirius XM screen layout, and strange mannerism when sliding between favorites.

So two questions about the Sirius XM screen;

Is it possible to change the layout so the 6 favorites aren't laid out on the bottom of the screen?

Also, it looks like there's 3 screens of presets. When you slide to the next preset screen the station changes automatically to the last listened preset on the screen. Any way to prevent this?

That's odd, as mine when sliding to the next group of 6, plays the station in the showing group of 6 presets that was previously selected.

How do you even set a preset, especially in Sirius.

Not sure if this is what you are asking, and please forgive if it isn't. To set a preset, first direct tune a station you like. Then press and hold a preset for about 10 seconds. The station you selected is now the new station.

I don't recall it doing that, but my free sirius ran out a long time ago. As for setting, I think you'd tune what you want and long press the preset.

Yep, long hold the preset you want to store the current station in. The screen will show a progress bar showing when complete.

Just got my Ranger a week ago. This is totally annoying, is there a solution?

Solution: Just press the voice button and ask for the station you want.

Excellent! For anyone following along here is what I did. 1) press voice button on steering wheel 2) say browse sirius xm. 3) on the touch screen you can filter by category and ultimately get to a point where you can swipe by pages of presets.

Yeah, as long as you know the channel name, voice is your best bet if you've got a large number of favorite stations. Browsing you can jump direct to the category with the "browse rock channels" type commands, but you need to use the specific SXM category name. Those are less flexible than the channel names.
