Want to install new Bilstein shocks front and rear on my 2020 Ranger Lariat. I use it as my personal driver but I will occasionally 3 times a week haul 100 to 600 lb items to job sites. What kind do you suggest? I would also like to have better handling and a smooth ride

the 4600 models seem like they would be a good shock for the job

According to Bilstein the 4600 and 5100's have the exact same valving, so if you're not looking to level the truck then you'll save money with the 4600's.

Now. Good luck finding the 4600 fronts in stock. There are rears to be had but the 4600's have been on national backorder forever.

I went with Eibach and have been very happy with them so far.

If you are set on Bistein the 4600's are a good choice, whether or not you can find them is another matter. For me I went with Eibachs and they've been absolutely brilliant so I would advise giving those a look as well. What kind of terrain are you driving on mostly? I offroad a lot so I got shocks with that in mind but the on road handling has dramatically improved as well fwiw.

Can't go wrong with either, but I am also a happy Eibach owner.

I have the 4600’s on the rear and am happy. I desperately need to do the fronts. One front was replaced under warranty for leaking at 5K. That’s when I decided to do the rears myself. The first stock one i took off; I sat one end on the driveway and completely collapsed it with two fingers.
