Where did you get these in clear? I've only seen them in black.

I haven't taken the cap off the mirrors yet... I think other have in this thread... I'd be interested in how to do that too... I bought these off ebay...

Not sure if the question was answered. I have the XLT without the lights. Can these still be added. Are the mirrors prewired even if they don’t have the blinker? Also, if so, does anyone have or found an install video?

Short answer NO
But it is possible, you need to add Lariat mirrors and create the hooks up. See link in my signature, I have a thread on how to do this.

Luckily i've taken apart dozens of these mirrors:



Use a spudger instead of a screw driver and you shouldnt damage the skullcap. The second time i break out the screw driver in the video it was not needed (I thought the bottom clips might have been engaged still), you just have to pull at the correct angle, gently wiggle it a bit.

Super easy install. No tools needed, 10 mins for both sides. Skull cap takes a little wiggle and careful force to take it out. Straight forward and out for initial pull then wiggle a bit and a little more force and pop it comes out. Then you disconnect the bulb in there, plug yours in, clip it back in, pop skull cap back on. Here’s some pictures for understanding some of what I am saying.

I have the black ones in my Everest, really happy with the look. Getting the mirror caps off was a pain, but mostly just fiddly.

Well I decide to replace my Smoked out Seq turns with clear to better match the white skull cap.
Went with Amazon again
Smoked and Clear comparison pictures. IMHO (and only one that matters - My Truck!) clear looks much better with white! Smoked would be perfect for Black or Magnetic trucks. Other colors - your call!

@Figarou Thats exactly how my mirror turns look.
Switchback DRL Turns in your Headlights is AWESOME! I already spent my $$$ on Lariat Headlights. But if I ever break one!
