Seat Adjustment Travel

I have not looked at the mechanics of the seat in the XLT yet, but curious if anyone know if the seat adjustment travel can be adjusted to make the seat go back further? I love my truck but have long legs and knee replacements and having the ability to adjust the seat to travel maybe another 2-3" would make the ride much more comfortable.

The other day I went to go put the driver's seat back all the way to get at something that fell on the floor, and it only went back another 1" from where I usually have it. Surprised that was it. I could/should probably sit further back, but I've been getting accustomed to the more upfront driving position and I don't want to get used to sitting that far back so people in the back have enough rear leg room when they do ride back there.

I'm sure you, or someone, could come up with something to shift the whole travel further back. It probably won't be easy though given how complicated the mechanism and attach points are.

There was a time... when such changes were easy. I installed a seat extender in our '69 Camaro. Basically just a formed c-channel with studs and nuts welded to it. Unbolt the seat, bolt the bracket to the floor, bolt the seat to the bracket.
