Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Looks like you're gonna have to make space for 6 digits on the VIN section - I just got a vin of 10554. Ordered 10/29/2018 as a customer order, however the dealer put in a duplicate stock order for me on Monday 11/12/2018 and that is what got a VIN so I'll be taking that one. He gave me a build week of 01/14/2019.

And make sure your dealer enrolls you in the Ranger Retail Order Verification Program (ROVP) or your order won't be scheduled for an early build. I preordered on Sept 10 but the ROVP enrollment and approval didn't happen until this week.

I haven't heard of this ROVP before. I have the DORA dated 11/5 confirming Ford's acceptance of the order. How do they differ?

New program, verified retail order, we get our truck sooner than you would normally get a custom order on a new model. I have a vin and a build date which under normal circumstances would not have happened til ford gave the OKTB (OK to Buy) sometime in Jan. Now my build week is Jan 7th an as soon as OKTB is achieved my truck will ship. The dealership will need a scan of you DL and complete the paperwork for the program.

This now makes sense. My dealer took my order then asked me to come back by with a copy of a deposit and a copy of my DL to speed up my order. They didn't cash the check just needed it and my DL as proof of an actual purchase.

the DL makes it harder for the dealers to game the system.

I'll have to check on this with my dealer. I gave them a copy of my DL and left a deposit when I placed the initial order. I did not see the DORA until a week later when I changed the order to 4x4.

I finally got my dealer to send the verification paper work yesterday let’s hope I have e a vin soon I’ll keep you all posted
