He was one of a kind!Probably the most influential rock artists of my time has passed at the age of 76. He was so iconic, his voice, his style, his power. Rocking out to Ozzie in the '80's were some of the best times of my life.
So cool! I think my very first concert was Ratt opening for Ozzie in Ft. Wayne, IN. I was pretty lit.I actually have a VHS Tape which I converted to DVD of a concert of his Metallica opened (I think)
For the Ultimate Sin - Tour, it was originally filmed to be a Laser Disc, I was at this concert during filming, it is amazing to watch a concert you attended nearly 40 years ago. I somewhat remember where I am sitting.
He was a gifted man of talent.
Agreed. Ozzy posters on my bedroom walls as a kid. Huge fan. But I'm really bummed I never got to meet him in person to ask for my $48 back. Loved his music but the show he did in Cleveland for the Ultimate Sin tour really pissed me off. He made us wait forever. Then he performed for 40 minutes and vanished for a ½ hour before playing 2 encore songs. And done. Everyone was pissed but the opening act (Metallica with Cliff) saved the day. Still,,, Immortal Iconic Legend.Probably the most influential rock artists of my time has passed at the age of 76. He was so iconic, his voice, his style, his power. When was that? He was heavy into drugs at one point and maybe that had something to do with it? Or was it after he started having health issues?Agreed. Ozzy posters on my bedroom walls as a kid. Yup...If I recall correctly it was 1986
Damn , mine was wrong alsoCorrected my post to correctly spell Ozzy!
Not surprised. I once went to a Sam Kennison show, he was on maybe 20 minutes and couldn't go on he was so fucked up.1986.
He was freakin' STONED...
Dude... of course. Think about it. That guy definitely crossed EVERYTHING off his bucket list,,, and then some. His life was an adventure. Not surprised. I once went to a Sam Kennison show, he was on maybe 20 minutes and couldn't go on he was so fucked up.
But Ozzy was a true legend, and I would forgive him for one or two fucked show. He nailed many others. After he quit drugs, he was just another stellar human. His last days, at least as documented so far, led to believe he knew what was coming. And he accepted it like a boss.
