The highways have always had that reputation back there even in the 70's. My brothers own a roadside barricade company there and are always super busy but I think the snowplows take a toll on the roads in the winter.

Ya I can imagine the plows destroying the roads plus the constant heat and freeze of the roads isn’t good either

So here is a mix of everything from my trip to Michigan! I started the trip with high 4k miles and came back with a low of 6k miles on the truck now! The trip was a lot of fun but we hit a few snags with my buddy’s car messing up because the egr valve was about to fall off… my valve stem was damaged during install and started leaking in Michigan… and then my trailer started acting up on the way home… but overall loads of fun! You will see pics I took with my phone of random stops and also a car museum in Michigan which is massive! And also food from the stray dog an amazing restaurant in new buffalo! Then you will see all pics I took with my actual camera they are a bit obvious which ones are which haha

The mystery of the vibration has been solved! I had one bad tire that would refuse to road balance and would always be at 36 or higher what ever that means? But anytime they put weights on it to try and counterbalance it the wheel would be worse so a new tire is on order and should be here soon!

Huge thanks to the store manager out here zack he has helped me with all my issues I’ve had like my toyos being bad and this and personally got it sorted out!

Glad you are getting it worked out. As someone who was in that industry, it is infuriating for us, just like you, when things don't work out constantly.

I'm just messing with you. I had a customer who had 35" Nitto Terra Grapplers on his Chevy S10 pickup and would come in weekly to complain about how rough they rode. He'd make us rebalance them once a week. We offered to swap him in to something that would ride better (street tire) and he declined because he 'liked the way these looked'. My manager finally told him that he was only allowed to come in every 3000 miles for balancing as they were never out of balance and were considered a mud terrain. The guy wasn't happy, but he accepted it. His truck also had (literally) about 1000 little lights on the tailgate that lit up when he braked. So dumb.

Rear tire was replaced today and it’s a lot better! The road force was 36-39 which something I didn’t know means the tire is flexing and loosing its form (that’s how it was explained to me) and the faster you spin the more out of round it looks. so this new tire has a road force of 4 so it’s a lot better I did go ahead and order some hub rings for the truck as well since the hub is so small on the ranger. now technically you don’t need em since it’s lug centric but a lot have stated it helps so why not they are cheap.

Again I want to thank my discount tire in my town and the manager zack for helping me get this sorted out I had no appointment today and he saw me walking and told me to bring it over and he will take care of it for me real quick so super thankful

so ive been looking at ways to build my own bed rack since i dont like the cost of any existing one or really need anything that over kill anymore just something simple but the reoccurring issue keeps showing up is that the standard way to mount a bed rack is drilling into the bed rails of my truck... ill be honest thats a poor choice that ford should have done differently..... they should have added the utility rails that every single mid size truck has on them now days... but thats my only gripe with the truck besides the fx4 suspension lol

has anyone ever installed utility rails on a ranger yet? or is it a lost cause and ill have to either drill into my bed or use camper shell clamps?

because it would be awesome to use the same setup i have on my trailer and be able to just unbolt it when i only want to take my truck and put it on
