Mostly freeway, 75-79 mph with premium on board, last 2 tanks were 23.3 & 24.4 mpg. The 23.3 included some steep hills & up to 9,000' in Colorado. On the flat with just freeway driving it was over 24, no AC & cruise set at 78 mostly. In town it drops to 22 mpg.

Best mileage so far. 65% highway/35% city driving and averaged 23.4 mpg. I'm running the Livernois 91-93 Performance tune and amazing that my mpg has got better as long as I keep a light/normal foot.

I’m not concerned. This is right after a dyno pull.

Nice, how did the visit to the Dyno go?
What have you done for modifications?

Gas here in Tucson is below $2, amazing. Even diesel is close to $2. I am still tying to "tune" my fuel readout to actual MPG. No two trips are the same but getting about 23. A nice savings over what I was paying to drive my 96 Ford Diesel.?

Hello. John here in Seattle. I have a new 2020 Ranger XLT with the towing package. I am averaging about 22.5 in the city and I just returned from a trip to Yellowstone towing my light HELIO trailer that weighs about 2000LBS and I averaged about 18.5 MPG (that includes going through the TETON mountain range). In city driving I am averaging over 22mpg but I have a light foot. I also have a tonneau cover which helps mileage a bit. I use premium fuel when towing. I didn't know much about the TOW MODE so I didn't use it on my trip from Seattle to Yellowstone. That may not have made much of a difference.

Tim, if I can get over 20 in town I'll be happy. With the 3.73 gears I didn't expect anywhere near the 26 mpgs highway Ford reports. If mine (if Ford ever builds the thing) gets close to yours, I'm good to go.

I have the 2019 STX FX4 SuperCab in Magnetic color. I spend 50% on 45mph country roads and 50% on 65mph 4 lane roads. I'm 54 and my leadfooted days are gone unless I'm getting on the Interstate then I let her rip.
First oil change at 5.4K. I'm using Mobil 1 oil and filter. Bone stock. Once I hit ~8K miles she began increasing her mpg a lot. One note is that idling and 4X4 creeping will kill your average mpg but it will soon increase again!! I love this truck.

I've noticed idling hurts mileage, I stop for coffee or a drink most days on the way to work an I always lose a tenth or 2 just from that. Driving into a headwind kills it too.

After getting my truck serviced for the TSB regarding clunky shifting and cold starts I went from about 16.5 combined average to 20.5 combined average.

Way more acceptable now considering I have 33" tires, a 2.5" level, and an airdam delete.
