Not for the feint of heart - but I think it turned out well.

Start with cutting the switch case and trim the round part that holds the rotary dial:

Remove and cut up the mirror switch above the pc board and the screw blank in the facia above - only works if you do NOT have the mirror fold in option:

Drill, file, carve out the switch hole- and hack out a bit for the light:

**Removal Note - Start with the facia removal on the Right. There are a couple of those plastic clips ford engineers fell in love with, and 2 tabs on the left that release as you swing the facia towards the door.

Could have been a bit cleaner. Cut a bit, test fit. Cut a bit more, test fit... etc..

Brake controller. I have a 26' sailboat that tips in at 7k so getting it going is fine, but stopping is pretty important. The boat actually slows down the truck with the elec/pneumatic disks on both axles.

The end result looks like a clean install.
Pardon the ignorance, but what is that switch for?
Lariet power fold button. how anyone can see it to press it is beyond me. I have to use the mirror adjusts by feel.

XLT Sport with 302A have them too. Might be other iterations with the power fold...and you're right. Really poorly placed in my opinion.
But I'm danged glad to have them anyway :)

No I was talking about the OP install on his dash. I got the power mirror button on my Lariat. In the beginning it took getting used to. Now I know exactly where to feel for it

Way more cutting and hacking on things than I would do. Personally I like mine down where the left 12 volt socket is/was. Really blocked by the steering wheel up there. Bad enough finding the mirror controls, much less the brake controller. To each his own I guess.

Mine was just a chunk of plastic formed to fit the hole. I did not have the fold button.

Great job and better location than the one the dealer suggests. Easy to find and see.

302A doesn't have power fold for 2022, but you do get heated mirrors now.

That may be, but the OP has a 2021 like I do, hence my reply.
But I should have been more specific in my answer for sure.
