I just installed OME medium rear leafs. Much better than stock. The stocks would compress sooner and hit bump stop which would be hard. The OME have a 1.7 in lift built in which increases the space between the spring and bump stop. The springs are NOT harsh like add a leafs, they handle hits well. Also the articulation is better than stock. The hang at full extension is further than stock. I recommend bending the brake line bracket to adjust for the increase.

Additionally, I carried a 1000lb bag of rocks, and the springs weren't touching bump stops and did not ride hard.

Something to understand is those springs are designed for a constant 660 lbs in the bed and will take a maximum load of 1,460 lbs. I have the light load lift kit and 800 lbs will level out the truck.

Do the light load rear springs give any lift?

'Cause I don't really want any.

Yes they do. As long as all Springs are loaded accordingly which the light Springs are meant for no constant load you get 1.6 in of lift in the rear.

Here is my truck with 32 inch tires
