I don't use my truck offroad and it gets dusty a lot more often than really dirty. I found that CircleK locations with a car wash has an app for unlimited washes starting at $19 a month. They are touch free or brush type, your choice. The neat thing is it isn't for just 1 vehicle as most are but only restriction is no more than twice a day. So two or three times a week, I run my truck and my wifes Edge thru for what works out to about a dollar a time. I detail it about once a year and for the most part it always looks good. No I don't get a commission but thought I would share. https://www.circlek.com/circle-k-carwash

Unfortunately as much as I love the projects with my truck, I've basically gone so far down the path I'm going I can't use automated washes that have any sort of bushes or rollers.

I may be able to use a brush-less one.... but that would still make me nervous with all the doo-dads and stuff I have installed. At home I can at least direct my pressure washer where I want it to go.

First world problems I know.

The older I get the more I lean towards doing the same thing. Like you it would have to be just the spray type wash. I don't trust anything with brushes, because I don't know how often the brushes are cleaned.

Having lived in Florida for the past three years, I'm stunned at the quality and price of car washes down here! The one that I used in the Sarasota area was only $25 per month, unlimited use (once per day, max), free vacuums, free floor mat sweeper machines, towels for drying, etc. The one in Stuart, where I am now, is similar but not quite as nice. It does offer the same unlimited and free vacuums, but it's only $20 per month. I have no idea how they make enough money to stay alive but they sure do.

Right! Now I have to take my truck down the street to a crew that operates a hand wash business. It costs more money. :(

I can't wash my own truck! I'm too much of a perfectionist. I handle those chores on my Mustang, and it takes 12 to 13 hours. Afterwards the car is so clean, TOO CLEAN, that I can't bring myself to get it out of the garage.

I think I'm pretty much on the other side of the spectrum than you guys.

When it rains, I occasionally back my truck out of the garage. Free car wash.

After a rain, sometimes I aim for puddles in the road. Free underbody blast.

I hardly ever wash my truck.

What color is your Ranger?

My 2002 Tacoma was a sand color.. it always "looked" clean.

My 2019 Ranger is "Magnetic", it always looks dirty. That's why the named the color Magnetic.... every damn thing sticks to it!

I gave up on that a long time ago. If I was going to a show and wanted it primo, then yes, I "might" put that much attention into it. Life is too short to worry about a small scratch or some dirt/dust here or there. We've gotten a million compliments on our two MB convertibles through the years; never has anyone said, "Hey, you missed a spot!" :)

I hand wash my truck except in cold weather and then I carry my bucket of soap and wash mitt to the car wash and use their water.
I’ll use their brush on the wheels but I don’t use their soap or brush on the body.

Dude I had to step back and tell myself, "It is a truck - chill out" cause I would spend hours detailing it when I first got it then didn't want to drive it for a few days cause I put all that work into it. I still use some above newbie cleaning items, but it doesn't get a hybrid ceramic wipe down after every bath anymore.

I will clay bar and re-wax from the front bumper to the front windshield every third bath though since that gets the brunt of of the elements and road debris.

Not to be creepy, but is It the monster wash? I was pretty impressed by it when I was home for the holidays, did it in a pinch after crossing the state and had some bugs on my front they have “bug prep” with the vacuums so you can scrape off bugs before going thru the wash (born and raised in JB)

Stalker! ???

Yes, it is the Monster Wash on US 1. They do a nice job for twenty bucks per month, especially when the same wash is $10 per without the monthly plan. The one in Sarasota is the Coastal Express up on 70 by Lockwood Ridge. That place is killer.

I'm a chili pepper red guy. Seems pretty clean after a nice rain. Also, as a Zombie Apocalypse vehicle, blood splatter doesn't show!

Magnetic has to be better than the stormtrooper white guys.

Once in a while though you just gotta wash your truck... After you drive it around town proud for a few days.
